Meet the Tutors

  • Màiri Chaimbeul (Scottish Music)

    Màiri Chaimbeul is a juno-nominated harp player and composer from the isle of skye in scotland. A native gaelic speaker, Màiri is known for her versatile sound, rooted in language and tradition, combined with a distinctive improvising voice and expressive rhythmic approach.

    Màiri tours regularly throughout north america, the uk, and europe and was berklee college of music’s lever harp and celtic music professor from 2018-2021.

  • Tamsin Dearnley (Jazz harp)

    Tamsin Dearnley is a passionate advocate of the versatility of the lever harp.

    With a masters degree in composition, Tamsin is at home in many different sound worlds, and her work ranges from jazz to classical and folk. She has released several albums of solo harp music, including transcriptions of Bach as well as an EP of self-penned songs for voice and guitar.

  • Luke Webb (Irish Music)

    Luke Webb is an exciting young Irish Traditional Harpist with a background in classical training on the Harp. With degrees from TU Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama in Pedagogy, snd Performance, Luke has performed and taught at an array of spectacular venues and festivals such as the National Concert Hall, Wales Harp Festival, Edinburgh International Harp Festival and most recently the Higham Hall in association with Harps North West.

  • Clotilde Trouillaud (Breton Music)

    Clotilde Trouillaud is from a traditional Breton musical background but also has a wide experience of performing in different genres and working with many musicians.

    She draws on this wide experience when creating her own compositions and colourful arrangements of Breton Music for harp.
